When talking about professional photography equipment, there seems to be two main divisions, location photography equipment and studio photography equipment.  In each of these two divisions, we will talk about the little gizmos and gadgets that make the photography job easier to accomplish and sometimes, even possible.  Some pieces of equipment can be used for both location and studio purposes, but tend to be used more often either on location or in the studio.  We will talk about all these things and how each piece of equipment can be either built or bought, and how and where to get the best price possible.   For homemade photography equipment, we will give you or suggest to you specific dimensions or actually give you plans from building your own photography equipment.

There are many pieces of still photography equipment that have been borrowed from the film and video industry.  Many of these pieces of equipment are “grip” related that help photographers hold or manipulate different light modification devices, such as flags, scrims, and cutters.   On this site, we will discuss every piece of photography equipment that I have or can get a hold of.
